10 final year students on the BA Fine Arts Printmaking course at Cambridge School of Art, will be exhibiting their artwork at the Free Range Show. This exhibition will be held at the T4 Gallery which is part of the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. The show will be on from the 10th to the 14th of July.

Each artist in this diverse group has developed their unique conceptual positioning and technical innovation using mediums such as silkscreen, mixed media, stencil graffiti, etching, digital print and interactive video installation. They have not only dismantled conventional boundaries but shaped new thought provoking views on the human condition. The confrontation and engagement with a multiplicity of activities is self evident from paper to digital and vice versa. This is not to deny the importance of historical precedent but rather to position it as a vital component of contemporary discourse and not a moribund refuge from it. Nor is it a denial of the continuing significance of “traditional” disciplines but the recognition that it is only through a dynamic interaction with other areas of practice that their forms can be tested and reinvented. In this way they can retain the capacity to address contemporary concerns in a resonant and relevant manner.
